Caring For Patients With Rheumatic Diseases
About Us
Dr. Marcia S. Genta
The Dallas Arthritis Center is led by Dr. Marcia S. Genta, a Board-Certified Rheumatologist and a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology with more than 20 years experience in the field.
Dr. Genta graduated from the University of Para Medical School in Brazil and trained in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She remained at Baylor as an Assistant Professor, and then moved to Geneva, Switzerland with her family. In Switzerland she was an assistant professor in the Division of Rheumatology of the Geneva University Hospital.
Dr. Genta is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Italian and she is delighted to converse with patients in their own language.
On returning to Texas, she had the idea to open a Rheumatology practice that would combine the best of the three cultures that shaped her: South American warmth and friendliness; Swiss punctuality and precision; and American efficiency and scientific rigor.
The result is the Dallas Arthritis Center, a medical practice where patients feel that they are heard by their doctor and know that they get a competent, thorough evaluation and treatment plan.
Through Dr. Genta's affiliation with Methodist Dallas, Dallas Arthritis Center is a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network. The Mayo Clinic Care Network is a collaboration between Mayo Clinic and other health care organizations. Through this network, your health care team at Methodist Health System has easy access to Mayo Clinic's knowledge and expertise.
Dr. Genta also teaches rheumatology to other physicians at Methodist Dallas.
