Dr. Prajwal Dara
Dr. Dara is a dedicated and highly skilled Rheumatologist committed to providing exceptional care to patients. He received his MD from Florida State University College of Medicine and went on to completing his Internal Medicine residency training at University of South Florida in Tampa. He then completed his Rheumatology fellowship at the prestigious and highly rigorous fellowship training at University of Texas Southwestern that is affiliated with Parkland Hospital and the Dallas VA Medical Center. As the only Rheumatology fellowship program in Dallas and one of the largest Rheumatology fellowship programs in the country, he had the opportunity to take care of a plethora of complex Rheumatology cases ranging from Rheumatoid Arthritis and gout to vasculitis and lupus to name a few. Dr. Dara is also actively engaged in research with contributions to various publications and presentations in various topics within the field of Rheumatology. He is an active participant at the American College of Rheumatology and continues to attend Rheumatology conferences yearly. As such, he is well connected with many other Rheumatologists. Outside of medicine, Dr. Dara enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and goldendoodle and stays active playing a variety of racquet sports as well as traveling and playing board games with friends. He is very fluency in English and is expanding his proficiency in Spanish and Telugu. Dr. Dara is dedicated to ensuring that all patients receive the best personalized and compassionate care and is looking forward to welcoming you to the Dallas Arthritis Center family.



Dr. Omkar Dhamankar
Dr. Dhamankar brings a rich background of experience to this practice. He is a graduate of the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. Having completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and Rheumatology subspecialty fellowship at UT Southwestern/Parkland Memorial Hospital, Dr. Dhamankar is committed to delivering exceptional care to patients with rheumatic diseases. He has conducted impactful research in the areas of public health, clinical pharmacist integration, and education. Dr. Dhamankar firmly believes in the significance of patient-centered care, prioritizing listening to patients as the critical initial step in the healing process. Outside of medicine, he has a love for outdoor activities such as hiking, backpacking, and powerwalking with his dog. He tailors individualized treatment plans to address each patient’s unique needs, striving for the best possible outcomes.

Dr. Marcia Genta
Dr. Genta is one of a select group of physicians chosen by the Methodist Hospital to teach rheumatology to physicians who are specializing in Internal Medicine. Physicians training here are learning patient skills in rheumatology by working closely with Dr. Genta and her health care team. As a patient, you should know that the presence of other doctors in this medical office indicates that your doctor has been identified not only as an excellent physician, but also as an exceptional role model and teacher.
